Whether it is litigation or negotiating a settlement, Elena’s knowledge of the law and procedure and her strong work ethic make her an effective advocate for her clients.  She provides caring but straightforward representation to her clients and builds lasting relationships based on transparency and trust. 

Elena’s current focus includes high asset divorce involving discovery, forensic analysis and business valuations, child and spousal support, high conflict child custody and visitation, move away requests, domestic violence restraining orders, paternity actions, post-judgment modification, registration of out of state orders, enforcement, and other family law matters.

Prior to joining Livingstone Law, APC, Elena worked in the family law and civil litigation arena in state and federal courts throughout the Los Angeles, San Diego, Imperial, and San Francisco counties. 

Elena is passionate about her work and is committed to making a meaningful difference in her clients’ lives. She has a successful track record in litigating and resolving high stakes matters in her clients’ favor. She will zealously advocate for you, whether at a settlement table or in the courtroom.   

Elena takes pride in helping her clients know their rights and their options, and in protecting them when they are most vulnerable. Her diverse background and analytical skills enable her to think outside the box and offer simple and elegant solutions for complex family law issues.

In her free time, Elena volunteers as a pro-bono interpreter and translator for Casa Cornelia Law Center, victims of crime program, and Catholic Charities. She also contributed over 150 hours in legal work as a pro-bono attorney helping clients who could not afford to pay for legal representation with San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program and Casa Cornelia Law Center. Her contribution was recognized by two Wiley W. Manuel Awards for Pro Bono Legal Services.

Attorney Vera A. Livingstone

For the past 20 years, Vera has focused primarily on Family Law matters, where she has successfully litigated difficult custody issues, move-away trials, and financial issues. Her strengths include good, close client relationships, cross-examination, and depositions. At all times, she works toward case resolution with an eye on efficiency and client satisfaction.
